Living paycheck to paycheck is disturbingly common. GOP Rep. Scott Perry doubts that Americans live paycheck to paycheck, but it is way more common than we would like to admit. Trumpeteers crowing abut the great economy are as poor as the rest of us. The only people the economy is great for are the 1%. The support of poor whites for the GOP is a textbook example of false consciousness.
